Aim of the project:
The project aims to integrate sustainability into various educational curricula using future-oriented strategies for competence development by project partners. It aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the European Union's commitment to environmental sustainability in education. The initiative will equip students and learners with skills to tackle climate change and ecological challenges while promoting awareness of the links between environmental issues and human activities, preparing them to be responsible global citizens. This effort also supports Uzbekistan's national sustainable development goals.
Main project outcomes:
- Green campus strategies for 6 universities in Uzbekistan
- 12 new sustainability-focused courses across various disciplines
- 3 specialized training courses by EU partners for faculty capacity building
- 48 faculty members and 24 administrative staff trained through specialized programs
- Network of 120 trained Green Campus Ambassadors (students and staff)
- 6 pilot projects, one at each UZ partner, demonstrating sustainable practices
- Annual Green Campus Conference with 200+ participants
- Virtual platform for knowledge sharing engaging 1,000+ users
- Partnerships with 12+ local businesses and community organizations
