What is the GreenCamUz project?
GreenCamUz — "Green Campus Initiative: Integrating Sustainability into Higher Education in Uzbekistan" — is a project funded by the European Union under the Erasmus+ CBHE Strand 1 programme. The project aims to integrate sustainability principles into education at 6 universities in Uzbekistan.
When did the project start and how long does it last?
The project is implemented over 36 months (2025–2028).
What is the project budget?
The EU grant amounts to €359,682.44.
Which universities participate in the project?
9 partner universities: Kokand University (coordinator), Opole University of Technology (Poland), Vilnius Tech (Lithuania), Karabük University (Türkiye), Tashkent International University (TIU), Central Asian University (CAGU), Alfraganus University (AFU), Andijan State Technical Institute (ASTI), Graduate School of Business and Entrepreneurship (GSBE). Plus 3 associated partners: Ministry of Ecology, Ministry of Higher Education, and Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies.
What are the main objectives of the project?
Developing green campus strategies for 6 universities, creating 12 new sustainability-focused courses, training 48 faculty members and 24 administrative staff, training 120 Green Campus Ambassadors, implementing 6 pilot projects, organizing annual Green Campus Conference, and creating a virtual platform for 1,000+ users.

At which universities will pilot projects be implemented?
One at each UZ partner: KU — Green Campus Eco-Park, TIU — Smart Waste Management System, CAGU — Solar-Powered Campus Lighting, AFU — Campus Water Conservation System, ASTI — Green Trees Database, GSBE — Air Quality Monitoring.

All public results are published in the "Results" section of greencam.uz and on the Erasmus+ Project Results platform.
