Alfraganus University Joins the GreenCamUz Project

Alfraganus University is participating in the GreenCamUz — "Green Campus Initiative: Integrating Sustainability into Higher Education in Uzbekistan" international project, implemented under the Erasmus+ ERASMUS-EDU-2025-CBHE-STRAND-1 programme.

The main objective of the project is to integrate sustainability principles into the higher education system of Uzbekistan. The project brings together universities and partner organizations from Uzbekistan, Poland, Lithuania, and Türkiye.

The project will be implemented across the following directions:

-developing new environmentally oriented academic courses at higher education institutions;
-implementing "Green Campus" principles at partner universities;
-training students as Green Ambassadors;
-enhancing the capacity of academic staff and management personnel.

As part of the project, a "Green Laboratory" will be established at Alfraganus University. Strengthening cooperation between the university, the community, and industry is also among the project's key priorities.

The project is implemented in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the European Union's policies on environmental sustainability in education.
